MINERAL WOOL NOISE BARRIERS
Mineral wool noise barriers are the ultimate choice for quality, durability and performance. They are made of high-grade steel sheets bonded with organic adhesive to a high-density mineral wool core (120 kg/m3; 7.5 lb/sq ft3), offering superior acoustic insulation (37dB) and mechanical strength (up to 525 kg/m2). They are specifically designed to mitigate noise pollution from both stationary and traffic-related sources and to withstand high wind loads.
Main application sectors include:
- Transportation: highways, railways and airports.
- Public utilities: Power plants, electrical transformers, gas regulation centers, and water pumping stations.
- Mechanical Installations: Generators, compressors, pumps, engines, and coolers.
- Manufacturing and Distribution: Factories and other industrial facilities, loading and unloading docks, and building construction sites.
Description of the product
Our acoustic noise barriers feature a dual metal coating and mineral wool insulation. Their exposed fastening, with a tongue and groove design, prevents flanking transmission to maximize sound insulation and absorption levels.
- The panels consist of two steel sheets bonded by means of organic adhesive to the mineral wool core.
- The steel sheets (EN10346) can range from 0.5 to 1.0 mm. (25 to 19 gauge).
- Manufactured with a 25µ polyester coating (SP25). Special coatings can be applied, upon request, to optimize durability or enable self-cleaning of the surface.
- The mineral wool core complies with EN 13162.
- Methacrylate option is also available to enable see-through possibilities.
Advantages
Our noise barriers offer high levels of sound insulation and absorption, exceptional mechanical strength (up to 525 kg/m²), and lightweight construction. They are easy and quick to install, simple to repair in case of vandalism, fire-safe (non-combustible), highly resistant to moisture, environmentally friendly, available in various colors, and require minimal maintenance.
